Inclusive Remote
The design
Working with specialist ergomonists, Davis Associates, we carried out a programme of workshops, focus groups and observational research. Respondents were provided by Age UK and Beaumont College to evaluate and comment on a range of innovative remote control ideas.
The result was an adaptation of the Sky+ remote, now in Sky's range, and a specialist interactive tablet concept.
The challenge
Extend our Sky user needs reseach to include the eldery and severely diasbled in user needs research to develop concepts for TV remote controls.
Could a single handset be suitable for the wide range of disability under consideration?
Design for severe disability
An aging population brings with it new and unidentified challenges for every day living. We worked with Sky to explore better ways for people with age related and severe disabilities to interact with their TV and increasing digital entertainment choice.
