Today wireless technology is ubiquitous. Low cost and low power consuming chip sets have meant that almost any product can now communicate wirelessly. Before that infra red was the most economical means of eliminating the cable.

 

The challenge

 

Design a full function wireless keyboard suitable for use with a computer or digital TV set top box. The design must be slim and robust for use on a desk or lap.

The design was selected from a range of concepts tested with end users. Based on a standard keyboard module additional functions were added with hard key tops operating a rubber key mat.
